Largest curve conveyors ever made!

In the world of mechanical engineering, new challenges are met daily to provide innovative solutions.

In a remarkable collaboration between a German machine builder and a Turkish end customer, Kramer & Duyvis has been commissioned to build the largest curve conveyor ever made to efficiently transport furniture panels.

The challenge

The German machine builder and the Turkish end customer were looking for a reliable solution for their production processes and turned to Kramer & Duyvis, a respected company in the machine building industry.

Kramer & Duyvis took up the challenge and began designing a curve conveyor that met the specific requirements of the project.
The specifications were impressive: a 180-degree angle, a belt width of 2700 mm to handle large furniture panels, and an outer radius of 7800 mm for smooth material flow.
There were also 350 kg drive rollers, a 500 kg rug and 1260 idler rollers with noise reduction to optimize performance and noise levels.

The first curve conveyor

After months of design and manufacturing, the first curve conveyor was successfully excluded.
The machine met customer expectations. The drive rollers, cloth and noise reduction idler rollers worked together effectively.

The second curve conveyor

The success of the first curve conveyor was evident. Just 3 months later, Kramer & Duyvis faced a new challenge: another curve conveyor with the same impressive dimensions had to be built.
The customers had confidence in the craftsmanship of Kramer & Duyvis, given the success of the first machine.

The second curve conveyor was manufactured with the same precision and attention to detail as its predecessor.
The fact that the company managed to create a second machine within such a short period of time is a testament to their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Conclusion

The successful completion of these projects illustrates not only Kramer & Duyvis' technical skills, but also their ability to provide customized solutions for even the most complex transportation needs.
It shows how international cooperation and knowledge sharing can lead to groundbreaking innovations that move the industry forward.
